About the Event
We are excited to host Barbara Krovitz-Neren, MA, a pioneer in the addiction prevention field, founding board member of the National Association of Children of Alcoholics, author, researcher, and celebrated youth and parenting advocate!
Krovitz-Neren’s innovative step-by-step program teach parents, and the professionals serving them, how to reconnect the entire family in the wake of addiction. The program is designed to help parents let go of the addicted family system and begin parenting with renewed strength and positive power.
Participants can expect to:
•Review and discuss research and empirical studies demonstrating the need for parental support in early recovery.
•Identify the effects of addiction on parenting.
•Examine and recognize the 5 strategies needed for parents to detach and restructure their addicted family system.
Krovitz-Neren has been a youth and parenting advocate for more than thirty-five years. She has created dynamic programs that have impacted more than 50,000 youth, adolescents, and young adults around the country. Barbara has trained individuals in school districts, community social service agencies, and parent groups, both nationally and internationally. Her work on behalf of children and families has earned her numerous awards over the years. Her new book is the culmination of her life’s work.
